Week 3 Recap/Week 4 Preview/Power Rankings

Week 4 Recap: Top 5 Story Lines

1. The Miami Sharks prevailed in the much anticipated battle of the titans with CLO Collins, and have now positioned themselves at 3-0 as the favorite for the #1 seed.

2. We have a tie, I'm not sure anyone likes a tie in fantasy but if your Boles you have to be excited to stay undefeated even though he scored under 60 and for the Rockets anything is better than adding another loss especially since they don't own their pick.

3. After all the turmoil in the offseason and slow starts the Purists are somehow 2-1 and leading their division.

4. The Carolina Lions have officially engaged in a fire sale and made the Kings' weekly upset potential that much higher by selling them Rodgers.

5. Are Scott's Tots for real? Consistently producing solid points weekly may be good enough to find these Tots in the dance.

Week 4 Match Up Preview

Miami Sharks 3-0 AT Kory Adams 2-1 (+17)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-0 Sharks)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

The Sharks fresh off a big time win over CLO Collins and Kory Adams fresh off barely staving off a Kings upset this week, must both quickly refocus as they prepare for this crucial division match up. Let's take this match up for what it is, a match up between the only real legit contenders for the NFL division. The two head to head games the Sharks and Kory play will go a long way in deciding who captures the division crown. This week with SJAX still out and Gronk 50/50 to play as well as the talent gap between the Sharks' receivers and Kory's. Give me the Sharks 117-100 to keep their winning streak going.
Difference Maker: WR Desean Jackson, Miami Sharks - Could really pick any of the receivers here but DJAX has the potential to put up a huge game against Denver maybe 200+ yards, while Dwayne Bowe would be lucky if Alex Smith throws for 200 yards.

CLO Collins 1-2 AT Portcity Goonsquad 1-2 (+3)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1 CLO Collins)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

I'm having dejavu over here as CLO Collins gets ready to go toe to toe with Goonsquad just a week removed from their last meeting that saw Tick pull off the monster upset. Speaking of upset, through three weeks the much heralded CLO Collins team has only been able to muster a win against one opponent, the Dynasty Kings. This game is huge for both teams as a 1-3 start would leave them needing to most likely go 8-2 over the last 10 games to have a good shot at the playoffs. While that is doable for both teams it'd be a whole heck of a lot easier if they just got back to .500 while defeating a big time divisional opponent this week. These teams match up really well and Tick gets an added boost that Staff and Mega go up against Chicago while Cruz has a date with Kansas City and Luck has Jacksonville. Still on paper CLO's team is just a bit better and I have them winning out 102-99.
Difference Maker: WR Dez Bryant, CLO Collins - While CLO's other two receivers may have a rough going, Dez should be in for a big day against San Diego and allow CLO to pull away from Tick.

Beat Skeet Leave 2-1 AT Super Manning 1-2 (-5)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1 BSL)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

In the second dejavu match up of the week BSL and Super Manning go toe to toe yet again. If Super Manning loses this one you can all but count them out as competitors for the UFL Division. While Andrew will be in prime early position to find a playoff spot either as a division winner or the wildcard, all this with Spiller playing like trash. Unfortunately for Andrew with Randall Cobb on a bye and that machine in Denver not slowing down any time soon give me Peyton and Super Manning 93-88.
Difference Maker: WR Demaryius Thomas, Super Manning - Going against Philly should be set up for a huge day and allow Super Manning to finally get back in the win column.

Carolina Lions 1-2 AT Scott's Tots 2-1 (-13)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1 Lions)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

Scott's Tots looks like the real deal and this Sunday they go head to head with a team that may be throwing in the towel on the 2013 season. The Lions are not a bad team but Scott's Tots is clearly more talented especially with the Lions supposed franchise player Arian Foster slumping and going up against the vaunted Seattle defense. I don't think this will be much of a contest I'd look for the Tots to win 95-82.
Difference Maker:  HB Matt Forte, Scott's Tots - Forte is trying to put to rest the claims that Scott's Tots lack a stud and he should continue to put up points as he draws Detroit this week.

Matt Boles 2-0-1 AT Dynasty Kings 0-3 (-4)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-0 Kings)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

I don't know what it says about Boles' undefeated start when the Dynasty Kings are favored over him, but after the Kings almost beat Kory last week and out scored Boles by almost 30 it seems like it'd be crazy not to pick the Kings. As long as SJAX is out and the Kings are able to get some kind of runningback production thanks to Snelling they are primed to make some upsets. Their receiving corps is not bad, Pryor is solid (especially against the Skins this week), and Jordan Cameron is a flat out stud. If Reggie Bush is out or limited against Chicago then this will be an easy win for the Kings. Even with a healthy Bush give me the Kings 85-81.
Difference Maker: TE Jordan Cameron, Dynasty Kings - The Kings' franchise player looks close to a Jimmy Graham clone, and when you're getting that production out of your tight end you can win some games.

Rockets 0-2-1 AT Purists 2-1 (-5)
All Time H2H Regular Season  (2-1 Purists)
All Time H2H Post Season  (0-0)

This game actually looks closer than I thought it would with no Cam and John's franchise QB RG3 going against the Raiders. I think the Purists should definitely be on upset alert due to the same issues that have plagued them all season (slow starts, no WR2) and should may even explore the trade market to fill some holes. As for the Red Rockets they have to be happy with the way their young players are progressing and they have a real shot to make some noise this week. I still say take the Purists 88-83 as they somehow progress to 3-1.
Difference Maker: TE Julius Thomas, Purists - Just as previously stated in the Kings game if you're getting big time production from the tight end slot that's a huge advantage and Thomas should have no problem against the Eagles' D.

Power Rankings Week #4

1. Miami Sharks 3-0 Prv. #1 - After handling rival CLO Collins last week and Josh Gordon exploding to give them yet another weapon, the Sharks are clearly alone as the number one team in the league.

2. CLO Collins 1-2 Prv. #2 - Still can't knock them down past 2 yet as they continue to put up big time points and are the 2nd highest scoring team in the league. Trich to the Colts should help, but a loss to Goonsquad this week would see CLO stumble down a spot...or three.

3. Scott's Tots 2-1 Prv. #9 - Huge week for the Tots, with the way Forte is playing and not too many other teams in the league stepping up the Tots could emerge as an elite team and the UFL Division champ.

4. Beat Skeet Leave 2-1 Prv. #3 - Time to worry about Spiller and MJD but BSL is still extremely talented and in the heart of the playoff discussion.

5. Kory Adams 2-1 Prv. #7 - Narrowly survived against the Kings this past week but once Gronk and SJAX get back they'll be a strong playoff contender.

6. Super Manning 1-2 Prv. #4 - With Peyton on his way to having a record breaking season and plenty of other talent on Super Manning you could argue if they snagged a big time halfback they'd be the #2 team in the league. Need to win this week though.

7. Purists 2-1 Prv. #8 - There is some serious talent on this team but with the holes at flex and WR2 hard to put them any higher than this. Once Harvin is back and their high rookie pick is in the fold next year could be a different story.

8. Goonsquad 1-2 Prv. #5 - Have to win the games they are supposed to but once Ray Rice is healthy this team has potential to be the highest scorer any given week, just need to find some consistency.

9. Matt Boles 2-0-1 Prv. #6 - Still undefeated but tough sledding is ahead for Boles will need to have better in season management to really have a chance at making the playoffs.

10. Dynasty Kings 0-3 Prv. #12 - Add in Aaron Rodgers, a progressing receiving corps, and a monster tight end this team is well on its way to rebuilding back into their championship contending form of 2012.

11. Red Rockets 0-2-1 Prv. #11 - His rookies like Gio are progressing and RG3 is looking okay fantasy wise, the Rockets could have a nice future ahead of them but will need some luck to pull off a win in 2013.

12. Carolina Lions 1-2 Prv. #10 - Foster has sunk this team and now add in the fact Luke is playing for 2014, it may be a long season for the Lions.
