Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III

This is the moment
When all I've done
All the dreaming
Scheming and screaming become one

It's already Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III weekend somehow. A season that seemingly flew by and has left the majority of us in disappointment, now comes down to one final game. A game where one team will capture the league's ultimate prize and their place in Ultimate Dynasty history. While the losing team will be left to wonder what might have been as the pain of coming so close lingers over them for the next seven months.

This is the game of all games, and it goes without saying this is the biggest game in both franchises' history, but before forecasting a result, let's recap how they got one win away from the top of the mountain.

How they got here: Scott's Tots - A year after finishing 11-2-1 in the regular season and securing the #1 seed only to get upset in the divisional round, the Tots kept the majority of their core together hoping that a returning from injury Julio would be enough to put them over the top... so far it seems like they were right. The Tots ravaged the league putting together another 11 win season (on the back of a 5 game win streak to close out the year)  while also winning their 2nd consecutive division title. They returned to the playoffs in a very familiar position as the #1 seed matched up against a division rival that had swept him in the regular season. While the Tots didn't put up their best game, their streak of having no opponent score 100 or more points against them continued and that was enough to punch a ticket into their first ever Ultimate Dynasty Bowl.

How they got here: I Don't Get Tired - What an amazing season it was for Kory Adams and the I Don't Get Tired franchise. After failing to make the playoffs the first two seasons and seemingly always playing second fiddle to the Miami Sharks in their division, I Don't Get Tired just took over in 2014. The 11 win club led by superstars Murray, AJG, and Gronk jumped out of the gate on a 10 game win streak and a historic 10-0 start. There were rumblings of a perfect season all around the league, but whether the pressure got to him or variance had a way of catching up with his squad they proceeded to drop their next three games (including one against the Tots) before finishing the regular season with a win and sweep of the rival Sharks. They then proceeded to draw a terrible match up that saw them going up against CLO Collins' 3 time playoff, suddenly peaking, juggernaut of a squad. Most people, myself included, viewed Kory Adams as the underdog and thought his 10-0 start would be a nice story and footnote of the 2014 season, but be all for not. I Don't Get Tired had other ideas posting a convincing 111-84 postseason victory and secured their spot in Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III.

#2 I Don't Get Tired (11-3) VS #1 Scott's Tots (11-3)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1 Tots)
All Time H2H Post Season (First Meeting)

Scott's Tots: QB Tom Brady - Terrific Tom gets an unbelievable match up on paper against the struggling Jets' pass defense. The same pass defense he lit up for 261 yards and 3 TD's on a rainy Thursday night earlier in the year. However with that being said this game is in New York, a divisional game, and Rex Ryan isn't your typical lame duck head coach. I still think Brady should light it up with ease.

I Don't Get Tired: QB Drew Brees - The guy that used to own the Super Dome has actually been very up and down as of late. A match up against Atlanta should be just what the doctor ordered though. While the Falcons did hold him to just 15 points on opening day, I would be shocked if he came out of this one with less than 20.

Edge: Close to saying it would be a push, but I think Brees edges Brady out and should light up Atlanta.

Scott's Tots: HB1 Matt Forte - Forte has been a consistent force this year for the Tots, but it seems as just when they need him the most he may not be able to deliver. Having a downright awful match up against Detroit, and now having The Jimmy as his quarterback...Let's just say it's going to be tough sledding for this man Sunday.

I Don't Get Tired: HB1 Demarco Murray - Just as the Tots are having trouble with their lead man in the backfield, IDGT is having some issues as well. While it looks like from what I've seen Murray will be suiting up this Sunday, you have to think a broken hand will reduce his touches, and it's probably going to be tough to be as effective. Bright side is Indy's run defense is nothing to write home about and Dallas should have some goaline opportunities in this one.

Edge: Give me the man with the broken hand over the guy that has Clausen as his QB and is running against Suh and co. any day of the week.

Scott's Tots: HB2 Eddie Lacy - Fat Eddie is going to eat against Tampa this Sunday. The only question is just how much will McCarthy let him eat playing in a game that should be a laugher while a pivotal division championship game hangs on the horizon in week 17.

I Don't Get Tired: HB2 Jonathan Stewart - Who would have ever dreamed JStew would be the HB2 for a team in the Ultimate Dynasty Bowl this year. I know I wouldn't have, but as crazy as it seems he's a very solid HB2 with a nice match up against Cleveland...go figure.

Edge: Fat Eddie. If JStew outscores Lacy this Sunday then you will know there is no way the Tots captured a championship.

Scott's Tots: FLEX Brandon LaFell - Again I ask, who in their wildest dreams would ever have thought LaFell would be starting for an Ultimate Dynasty Bowl team. Well he is, and again he is not the worst start in the world this Sunday against a leaky Jets' secondary (also the possibility of no Edelman can only help).

I Don't Get Tired: FLEX Julian Edelman - There are questions of whether Edelman would be able to go, in which case I guess Kory would break out SJAX for what could be his final relevant fantasy game ever. Let's assume Edelman is able to go, I'm not the biggest fan. While he has been more than solid the last few games his floor is frighteningly low and his ceiling doesn't get me going either.

Edge: Somehow I think I'd rather have LaFell...I think.

Scott's Tots: WR1 Jordy Nelson - When you have to debate who to put at WR1 and WR2, you know the team is either stacked at WR or mediocre. In this case it is without a doubt stacked. Nelson missed out on some big plays against Buffalo's stingy pass defense, but don't look for that to be the case against a much weaker Tampa Bay unit.

I Don't Get Tired: WR1 AJ Green - Dealing with an illness this week (if Dalton was my QB I'd be sick too) AJG is still without a doubt top notch play at the position. While he draws an unfavorable match up against Talib, the Bengals do figure to throw a little more than usual and take some shots down field plus AJG is capable of beating any corner in this league multiple times any given Sunday.

Edge: Give me the better match up and the guy with Rodgers as his QB.

Scott's Tots: WR2 Julio Jones - Superstar in a fantastic match up, especially since Lewis seems to still be hobbled. The only problem is Julio is a little hobbled himself, however if he plays I expect him to be a solid WR1 in this match up.

I Don't Get Tired: WR2 Vincent Jackson - VJax's better days have come and gone and he now currently resides in an offense that can only support one WR and unfortunately he's not it. While he is still a serviceable option (kind of) he has failed to scored double digit fantasy points in 8 of his last 9 games.

Edge: I don't even have to say it, but I'd take Julio on one leg over VJax on a motorcycle. (If no Julio then Douglas and VJax are pretty much a tie at sucking and I guess I go Douglas)

Scott's Tots: TE1 Jordan Reed - Reed has a nice match up and is capable of posting big days from the tight end slot. However the Skins are a mess and I think RG3 hates him so I wouldn't count on him exploding in this match up.

I Don't Get Tired: TE1 Rob Gronkowski - The man the myth the legend.

Edge: The Gronk of course.

Scott's Tots: Defense Bills - Coming off shutting down Rodgers, the Bills should be fantastic against Carr and the Raiders.

I Don't Get Tired: Defense Cardinals - The Cards are arguably one of Kory's most valuable players. Their floor is consistent and they've got nice upside, what more could you want in a defense.

Edge: Very close but I'll go with Buffalo.

Kicker I don't care but I guess Tucker is the better start.

The Pick: Both squads have had amazing seasons and are deserving of a championship. However there can only be one....

I'll take Scott's Tots in one heck of a game 100-99.

UDFFL DIVISIONAL ROUND PREVIEW

It's that time of year again, the playoffs are back! Who will capture the elusive Ultimate Dynasty Bowl Championship this year? One thing is for sure we'll have a new champion for 2014!

First let's meet the contenders...

#1 Scott's Tots 11-3 - (No UDFFL Championships or Appearances)  (2nd playoff appearance in 3 seasons), (0-1 Playoff Record)                                                                                                                        Coming off their 2nd consecutive #1 seed and 11 win regular season, the Tots hope to avoid a repeat of last year (that saw them lose to a #4 seed UFL Divisional rival for the 3rd time in one season). Tray boasts an even stronger team than last year, with Julio Jones and Tom Brady added to the fold, but is running into injuries at the wrong time of the year.

While the injury bug is hitting hard (Marshall IR, Harvin Q, Lacy Q, Julio Q), anything less than a championship appearance would still be a huge disappointment for these Tots.

#2 I Don't Get Tired 11-3 - (No UDFFL Championships or Appearances)                                                                                        (1st playoff appearance in 3 seasons), (0-0 Playoff Record)                                                                                                                               After opening the season a historic 10-0, people began to wonder whether an undefeated season could be possible. Since then the bottom has dropped out a little bit going 1-3 over the final four weeks of the season and even falling out of the #1 seed. IDGT has some holes but they without a doubt have the fire power to get a trophy on their mantle.

Even though a 10-0 start has gotten Kory all over the record books, an early playoff exit would make it (and the fantastic seasons of Demarco and Gronk) all for not.

#3 CLO Collins 8-6 - (No UDFFL Championships or Appearances)                                                                               (3rd playoff appearance in 3 seasons), (0-2 Playoff Record)                                                                                                                 In what was a roller coaster of a season that saw the Collins franchise sitting at 3-6 at one point, it is truly remarkable that he was able to punch a record third postseason ticket. CLO now is hoping that the third time is the charm, as he sits in the divisional round as the #3 seed yet again.

CLO looks strong but he has averaged only 74.5 points all time in the playoffs. You have to think yet another one and done postseason performance would be devastating to the man behind the Ferguson riots.

#4 Super Manning 10-4 (No UDFFL Championships or Appearances)(1st playoff appearance in 3 seasons), (0-0 Playoff Record)                                                                                                                                            Many, myself included, thought that Super Manning missed their championship window last season. However it appears that him and Peyton found a way to keep it just slightly cracked open for 2014. They're 2-0 against the Tots this year but dropped both of their games against their possible championship opponents. None of that matters now though as Phil preps for the biggest game in his franchise's history.

With an older core and having put all their chips into the middle of the table Phil needs to come away with an Ultimate Dynasty Bowl Championship THIS year.

Interesting Playoff Facts That Might Mean Something but Probably Mean Nothing
Ridiculously Small Sample Size

- The only team to ever win the UDFFL is the Miami Sharks, meaning the NFL Division is the only division to ever win the UDFFL. (Good for IDGT)

- The only two teams to ever make the UDFFL Bowl are the Sharks and Lions, meaning the AFL Division has never had a UDFFL Bowl representative or won a playoff game. (Bad for CLO)

- No double digit win team has ever won the UDFFL Championship. (Great news for CLO)

- After two seasons, the UDFFL Bowl has always been the #2 and #4 seed (Great news for IDGT and SM).

- No team that was not created in Apartment K at UNCW has ever made the UDFFL (Great news for CLO and SM).

Divisional Round Predictions

4. Super Manning 10-4 AT 1. Scott's Tots 11-3

Scott's Tots when healthy may very well be the best team in Ultimate when healthy, but this team is far from healthy. They also don't have the best match ups and are coming off a week where it seemed like everyone on the team hit their peak. Enter Super Manning who is relatively healthy and has many of his studs coming off some of their worst performances of the year, and it makes for a very intriguing game.

My mind tells me to take the Tots as long as both Lacy and Julio play at close to 100%, but I've got a feeling Peyton has at least one more big time performance and lights it up to DT and JT. After a lot of debate, give me Super Manning 102-100 in a game that goes down to the final minutes of Monday Night Football.

3. CLO Collins 8-6 AT 2. I Don't Get Tired 11-3

Two great friends pitted against each other with an Ultimate Dynasty Bowl berth on the line. It doesn't get much better than this.Kory balled out all season, but he is, unfortunately for him, trending down. While CLO struggled mightily at times during the season, he now seems to be on fire averaging a ridiculous 111.8 ppg over his last five.

On paper this one seems like CLO should take it, but once you look at the match ups and start thinking of Charles at less than 100% it starts to seem a lot closer. Bottom line if Charles doesn't play give me IDGT by 7-10 points, but if he does look for this to follow suit the Tots-Manning game and go down to the wire Monday Night with Drew Brees having a huge performance that comes up just short with IDGT losing, 111-108. (Sunday Night is also going to be huge in this one) (Kory please don't start James Jones)

Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III

4. Super Manning AT 3. CLO Collins

Apartment K with yet another championship match up, but I think if I'm right on this call then we're in for yet another championship blow out. Peyton/DT/JT are the heart and soul of Phil's squad but they get a terrible match up against Cincy, while his stud back Lynch gets the stingy Cardinal's run defense. CLO on the other hand is looking at pretty soft match ups for his studs and I think he takes this one in pretty convincing fashion and is your Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III champion!

Week 10 Review/Week 11 Preview

Week 10: Top 5 Story Lines

1. I Don't Get Tired does not lose. This is the second time this year they went into a Monday Night game looking like underdogs with Sproles left vs another "better" Eagle player left for their opponent. The first time in week 2 vs the Miami Sharks, Sproles dominated putting up 23 points compared to McCoy's 15 to get the W, now this week Sproles put up 13 while the formerly red hot Maclin put up 3. Don't even get me started on that Cardinal's Defense, bottom line is this team seems to be a team of destiny four wins away from an undefeated regular season.

2. It looks like three of the playoff teams are pretty much locked in, I Don't Get Tired, Scott's Tots, and Super Manning. Two of those three will be making their first ever postseason trip while Scott's Tots will be making their 2nd trip tying Miami Sharks, CLO, and Lions for most all time.

3. The AFL Division race has the potential to get all kinds of crazy. If CLO Collins gets the W this week over Goonsquad and Red Rockets takes care of business against the Purist the division race could look like this (depending on points) 1. Red Rockets 6-5...2. Goonsquad 6-5...3. CLO 5-6. More to come on this later.

4. Over the past few weeks the Miami Sharks officially hit the rebuild button shown by their trades of Foster, Graham, Jeffery, and Lynch for youth and future picks. One thing is for sure we will have a new champion for 2014.

5. Machine Marshall after finding wins over the Lions and Sharks in recent weeks only needs one more win to avoid setting the new record for worst regular season and instead just tie the '12 Tots mark.

PLAYOFF PICTURE

1. (Y) I Don't Get Tired (10-0) - Having already clinched the division and three games ahead of their closest competitor this team is a virtual lock to be the #1 seed. The thing everyone wants to know is...can they go undefeated? They have two big time match ups left in the regular season that will test them with games against the Rockets and Tots then of course potentially two huge match ups in the playoffs. Can a 14-0 be done? Can a 16-0 be done?

2. Scott's Tots (7-3) - A year after breaking out it looks like the Tots will be making a return trip to the dance with a record somewhere between 9-5 and 11-3. The regular season question for the Tots becomes can they hold on to this division and avoid having to match up with I Don't Get Tired in round 1 of the playoffs. The playoff question becomes can Taylor Ray a fantasy owner notorious for his good regular season teams and lack of titles finally break through and make some noise in the post season?

3. Port City Goonsquad (6-4) - Holding on to that division lead for dear life and this week their grip will be severely tested when a good finally getting right CLO team comes to town. Don't get me wrong Goonsquad has a very nice roster in their own right, but a division that once seemed wrapped up is very much up in the air. If they can't find a way to beat CLO and/or the Tots next week then this thing is going to go right down to the wire. Even if they split the next two games and go 9-5 the Rockets could win out and bring it down to a point tiebreaker. However if they go 9-5 they are most likely safe, it's a fall to 8-6 that would really open things up.

4. Super Manning (7-3) - Have to give credit where credit is due, unlike 2013 this year Super Manning has really stepped up on the trade front and surrounded Peyton and DT with some solid halfbacks in Lynch and once he gets back R.Jennings. Phil seems like a lock for his first postseason appearance and although Lynch/R.Jennings don't have very favorable playoff match ups, you have to think a team with Peyton and DT has a chance to win against anyone any given Sunday and perhaps bring home the title.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Red Rockets (5-5) - There really isn't much hope for a Wildcard berth for any of the teams on the outside looking in, but that's perfectly fine for the Red Rockets as they're only gunning for one thing...the AFL Division crown. If he can survive against the Purists this week he could theoretically be running out a Bell/Gio/Gordon/Dez/A.Brown/JT squad for his playoff push. That is the type of team that can go on a late season run and not stop running until it has captured Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III.

6. Miami Sharks (5-5) - Still mathematically alive but it's clear this team is not meant for the 2014 postseason.

7. CLO Collins (4-6) - Left for dead a week ago they are now fully back into the playoff mix. This is another team that if they could just get in you could see them walking away with Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III. However the margin for error is insanely small for CLO, he must win out while hoping Goonsquad drops one other game and that he can surpass them in points (they currently lead by 48) or that they lose 3 out of their last 4. It would be a truly remarkable feat for this team to punch a ticket to the postseason but hope is alive.

PREDICTION: I Don't Get Tired finishes at 13-1 dropping a game to the Red Rockets but retaining the #1 seed with ease...Super Manning takes the 2 seed winning out to go 11-3...CLO Collins finishes 8-6 after a dramatic sweep of the Red Rockets on the final week of the regular season and manages to surpass Goondsquad in points to make their record 3rd consecutive trip to the postseason where they feature McCoy/Charles/Peterson/Mega...Tots finish at 10-4 and easily secure the wildcard spot.

Five Trades that should be considered by the deadline (Tough as top teams competing have few holes this year)

1. BSL trades HB Alfred Morris to Scott's Tots for HB Devonta Freeman, TE Tyler Eifert, 2016 1st, 2016 2nd, (2) 2017 1sts.

Reasoning: Don't know if BSL would actually part ways with their solid, 26 in December, HB2. However I'd think this trade would at least have them considering it. While Tots reasoning is obvious they need runningback depth for the playoffs and giving up those picks would be more than worth it if it gets them the title. In the end I don't think BSL would pull the trigger but you never know.

2. Dynasty Kings trades QB Tom Brady to Red Rockets for 2015 2nd and 2017 1st.

Reasoning: These past few weeks is not who Roethlisberger is, Brady is a legit QB1 and gets the Jets in the opening round of the post season. DK on the other hand will most likely not be firing on all cylinders until Brady has aged out so why not secure a couple picks for a guy you snagged on waivers.

3. Dynasty Kings trades QB Tom Brady, HB Denard Robinson, and WR Brandon Marshall to Scott's Tots for 2016 1st (DK), (2) 2017 1sts, HB Devonta Freeman and TE Tyler Eifert.

Reasoning: I'm not entirely sure why this trade or something like it hasn't been done yet. As previously mentioned Brady gets the Jets in round 1 of the playoffs (while Russell gets SF). Denard Robinson gives some much needed halfback depth and has a greater than 1% chance of holding on to that job next year. Add in BMarsh as another flex option/depth if anything happened to Julio and Jordy and I don't know why Taylor Ray isn't picking up his phone and making the call right now. This could be the deal that makes the difference in another first round exit or an Ultimate Dynasty Bowl III appearance.

4. Machine Marshall trades HB Joique Bell to Goonsquad for (2) 2016 2nds.

Reasoning: Goonsquad can definitely use the halfback depth while Machine Marshall could use any kind of future help as they currently boast HB Mark Ingram and WR Martavis Bryant surrounded by enough trash to make Oscar the Grouch blush (the guy lives in a garbage can).

5. Carolina Lions trade HB Justin Forsett to Goonsquad for (2) 2016 2nds.

Reasoning: Again Goonsquad can definitely us the halfback depth while the Lions would do well to get (2) future 2nds for a guy that will almost certainly not be the lead back in 2015.

Week 4 Review/Week 5 Preview/Power Rankings

Week 4 Recap: Top 5 Story Lines

1. Another week, another record low score by a team considered a contender. The Miami Sharks pulled a CLO and laid an egg against a gimme match up. 36 points...Brady/McCoy/R.Jennings combined for 10 points. I don't know what else to say about it, but that's a record that should stand for a while.

2. I don't Get Tired got yet another win while Machine Marshall took another L. What will happen first Kory taking a loss or Boles getting a victory. Does Kory have a shot at going undefeated? Is Boles a lock to go winless?

3. League parody is at an all time high with 8 of the 12 teams sitting at 2-2. It's week 5 and we've currently got 10 teams that can strongly believe they have a shot at the playoffs (maybe just 8 if you take out DK and Purists). Still that's a heck of a lot of teams battling it out for 4 spots and it's gonna be interesting to see who punches a ticket and who's left on the outside looking in.

4. Dark horse BSL looking strong after getting a big time win over Ultimate Dynasty favorite Red Rockets. If they can stay in the mix for a few more weeks and let another player or two emerge, you better watch out this team could make some serious noise.

5. Two huge games this week could alter the Ultimate Dynasty landscape in a big way. The Miami Sharks go up against CLO Collins and the Red Rockets face off vs Scott's Tots. Get your popcorn ready as one or two of these preseason favorites could slip to 2-3.

Week 5 Match Up Preview

Miami Sharks 2-2 AT CLO Collins 3-1 (+10)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-0 Sharks)
All Time H2H Post Season (1-0 Sharks)

CLO Collins has never beaten the Miami Sharks and even worse than that the Sharks are the team that ended their season in 2013 one game away from their first ever Ultimate Dynasty Bowl trip. You know CLO wants this one bad. On the other hand the Sharks after getting shocked last week made some major moves in an attempt to turn their season around and get back on track. This should be one heck of a game with CLO out for revenge and the Sharks treating this game as a must win. With every bit of bias in the world, and with historical data backing me up (3-0), I'll be taking the Miami Sharks in this one 107-97.
Difference Maker: TE Julius Thomas, Miami Sharks - The Sharks' new tight end gets a dream match up against the Cards this week. If he can outscore Jimmy then the Sharks should be able to take this match up.

I Don't Get Tired 4-0 AT Purists 2-2 (+42)
All Time H2H Regular Season
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

The odds are Kory won't be able to pull off a perfect season, but the odds are pretty high they'll escape week 5 still perfect. I don't really have a lot to say about this game the Purists just don't have enough to keep up with Kory, plus he doesn't get tired so how can you compete with that? Ant can take solace in watching Benjamin continue to emerge as a WR1, but I Don't Get Tired will win this 101-59.
Difference Maker: HB Demarco Murray, I Don't Get Tired - Just a flat out stud and should be able to lead Kory to another W.

Carolina Lions 1-3 AT BSL 2-2 (-12)
All Time H2H Regular Season
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

The Lions aren't as bad as their 1-3 record shows and if there ever was a must win in this league, this is a must win for Luke. The good news is if the Lions can find a win here they have Machine Marshall next week so bouncing back to 3-3 seems really viable, the bad news is BSL looks like they're on their way to becoming the real deal and that Rivers-Allen combo should kill the Jets. This is going to be a close hard fought game, but BSL is going to grab the win 94-82.
Difference Maker: WR Keenan Allen, BSL - Allen looks to be back on track and a match up against the Jets should allow him to feast.

Red Rockets 2-2 AT Scott's Tots 2-2 (+5)
All Time H2H Regular Season
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

If Sharks-CLO isn't your game of the week, then this one surely is. Both big time Ultimate Dynasty contenders looking to avoid a 2-3 start. This game is going to be really interesting, and I just stared at the box score for about 5 minutes trying to figure out which way to take this. After much debate I think I've got to go with the Rockets and their Steeler mini stack against the Jags, 109-104.
Difference Maker: HB LeSean McCoy, Red Rockets - The newly acquired tailback needs to at least get somewhat back on track against Stl or the Rockets could be vulnerable this week.

Goonsquad 2-2 AT Dynasty Kings 2-2 (+38)
All Time H2H Regular Season
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

The Dynasty Kings just pulled off a huge upset, while Goonsquad has won 2 in a row and are well on their way to turning their season around. While this Goonsquad team isn't perfect and the Kings are capable of putting up some decent points, I just don't see how Tick lets the Kings keep him from getting his 3rd win in a row and setting a personal record for latest in the season he has had a winning record. Goons 92-54.
Difference Maker: HB Ben Tate, Goonsquad - Will he play? How much will he play? Is it a time share? All of these are the questions surrounding Tate who the Goonsquad hopes can solidify their HB2 slot.

Super Manning 2-2 AT Machine Marshall 0-4 (+31)
All Time H2H Regular Season
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

Machine Marshall may not be as bad as their 0-4 record shows...but they are still pretty bad. They'll do whatever they can to beat their childhood friend Phil but I just don't see it happening, I mean Super Manning's half backs suck but gah Machine Marshall's halfbacks suck like crazy. 0-5 is right around the corner, Super Manning 87-56.
Difference Maker: WR Demaryius Thomas, Super Manning - If he somehow was to get shut down and no show vs Patrick Peterson then yeah Boles may just have a chance. That's not going to happen though.

Week #5 Power Rankings

1. I Don't Get Tired 4-0 Prv. #1 - They'll stay up here at least until they drop a game. Murray is so good, Kory just needs to get down on his knees every night and pray to God that Murray is able to stay healthy, cause if he does a title could be in his future.

2. Red Rockets 2-2 Prv. #2 - John has dropped two games in a row, but his squad is still as good as ever. If McCoy is able to turn it around they could be back in the top spot before you know it.

3. CLO Collins 3-1 Prv. #5 - Charles is back and for that reason CLO is back in the Ultimate Dynasty Championship talks. Need Mega to get back to 100% and still have some depth issues but when healthy they boast about as strong of a starting line up as anyone.

4. Scott's Tots 2-2 Prv. #4 - Still the favorite to win the UFL as long as Lacy can somewhat get back on track. Also they need to be in the market for a better flex play as I don't think Vereen and Torrey are going to cut it.

5. Miami Sharks 2-2 Prv. #3 - Shook up their team in a big way, but in the process got back to their previous championship formula acquiring an elite tight end. Still face a grueling three game stretch coming up that's really going to test whether this Shark team can punch a playoff ticket for the 3rd consecutive year.

6. BSL 2-2 Prv. #7 - Defeating the Red Rockets while also having your young tight end emerge as a stud, well you can't beat a week like that. This team is closer than a lot of people think to coming out of 2014 as an Ultimate Dynasty Championship. If they can solidify the HB2 slot (hello Hyde) then they have a real shot.

7. Super Manning 2-2 Prv. #6 - Solid team but need someone to emerge in a bigger way out of that backfield of HB3's. Getting Mathews back will be a nice boost for this team as they look to keep pace with the Tots and BSL in the battle for the UFL.

8. Goonsquad 2-2 Prv. #7 - On their way back from the dead but still have two juggernauts in front of him in his own division. Will need one of them to fall off or for Spiller to catch fire to have a shot.

9. Carolina Lions 1-3 Prv. #8 - Team looks better than what it is especially the Lynch/Stacy combo, but they can't afford to take another loss this week or it'll be time to prep for 2015.

10. Dynasty Kings 2-2 Prv. #11 - Of the bottom three they may very well have the highest scoring ceiling, and at least they have an established halfback in Gio Bernard,

11. Purists 2-2 Prv. #10 - Already having an upset over CLO this year, they'll have a chance to make an even bigger splash by taking down undefeated Kory this Sunday.

12. Machine Marshall 0-4 Prv. #12 - The 0-14 watch is underway. Having his best player Marshall banged up takes this team from being a bad team to absolute garbage. Rumor has it Boles was all over ESPN looking for a simulate season button to go ahead and get to the offseason, sadly all he found were a bunch of cheesy Love/Hate articles.

Week 3 Recap/Week 4 Preview/Power Rankings

Week 3 Recap: Top 5 Story Lines

1. C-Low. The preseason Ultimate Dynasty Bowl favorite laid a big time egg setting the new single game low score record and getting upset in a gimme game vs the Purists.

2. Lucky for Clo it was upset Sunday in the AFL. The Red Rockets had a big opportunity to take a one game lead in the division, but Goonsquad had different ideas. Tick showed he's not dead yet and is actually sitting in a nice position with 3 of his hardest games of the year over with and sitting 1-2 with a Lions, Kings, Purists stretch coming up.

3. Machine Marshall's plan to turn around and compete this year looks to have backfired. Now sitting at 0-3 and the last winless team in the league, they may have dealt the 2015 #1 overall pick to swap Reggie Bush for Joique Bell and Eric Decker.

4. The game of the week saw Super Manning get a huge win over last year's UFL Division winner and take a one game lead over all of their UFL counterparts. It's early but that win could look even bigger come December.

5. Kory Adams staved off the upset to survive as the only undefeated team, 3-0. While everyone else seems to be dealing with some injuries or ineffective players or players being suspended, I Don't Get Tired seems to be hitting on all cylinders. He gets the disappointing Machine Marshall and Purists up next so a 5-0 start is not out of the question.

Week 4 Match Up Preview

Miami Sharks 2-1 AT Dynasty Kings 1-2 (+48)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-2)
All Time H2H Post Season (1-0)

Even with the Dynasty Kings seemingly stuck in a rebuilding cycle, this rivalry transcends records and team structure. These two teams are tied at 2-2 in their all time h2h regular season records splitting their season series both in 2012 and 2013. However when everything was on the line in 2012 with an Ultimate Dynasty Bowl berth up for grabs the Miami Sharks came away victorious thanks to Russell Wilson's 39 point outburst. I'm sure the Dynasty Kings haven't forgotten that and will do everything possible to topple the Sharks. However the Kings (especially with Gio on a bye) will not have near enough fire power to pull off this upset. Look for the Sharks to breeze through 97-49.
Difference Maker: WR Dez Bryant, Miami Sharks - If things hit right Dez could outscore Dynasty Kings whole core (Rainey Oliver TW Hopkins Randle).

Purists 2-1 AT Scott's Tots 1-2 (-29)
All Time H2H Regular Season (1-1)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

In a match up where it seems as though the records should be reversed, the Purists look to defeat a 2013 playoff team for the 2nd straight week. Unfortunately for them the Tots are going to be a heck of a lot harder to beat than the injured/players suspended version of CLO Collins. The Julio-Jordy combo should be too much for the Purists to overcome, Tots 92-63.
Difference maker: WR Julio Jones, Scott's Tots - Best player by far in the match up, Julio should have another nice day and show the Purists an example of what they need to hope their receivers develop into one day.

Carolina Lions 1-2 AT Port City Goonsquad 1-2 (-12)
All Time H2H Regular Season (1-1)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

Two teams that are coming off wins they desperately needed are meeting up this week. Each knows if they want to get back on track and in the playoff hunt this is a game they need to have. This should be one heck of a game with the winner salvaging their season and getting to 2-2.
*Side note, the two times these teams have matched up the game has come down to 1 point, 55-54 win for Luke last year and a 105-104 win for Tick the year before.* Tick's running backs suck less than the Lions, so give me the Goonsquad 84-72.
Difference Maker: HB CJ Spiller, Goonsquad - Spiller could/should easily out score the Asiata-Dwill combo. Heck he should score about double what they put up.

I Don't Get Tired 3-0 AT Machine Marshall 0-3 (+21)
All Time H2H Regular Season (3-1 Machine)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

The last unbeaten goes against the last winless team, and at first glance you would expect these teams to stay on their current course in week 4. However with AJ Green on a bye there is a slight glimmer of hope for a Machine Marshall upset. That is, if Marshall himself can play. Even if he does Boles is going to have to have a mini miracle to pull off this upset. Give me IDGT 91-70.
Difference Maker: HB Demarco Murray, IDGT - Murray is the #1 fantasy back in the league going for at least 100 and a TD every game this year. Boles' backs may not combine for 100 and a TD.

BSL 1-2 AT Red Rockets 2-1 (+1)
All Time H2H Regular Season (1-1)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

Both teams are coming off disappointing losses, especially the Rockets who could've been 3-0 and alone in 1st place in the AFL Division. BSL needs this game to bounce back and stay in the thick of the UFL Division race and they may just have a shot. The Rockets are getting destroyed by byes this week plus Ryan Tannehill is their QB so there's a chance of BSL coming out with the upset. Call me crazy but I'm taking CPatt and BSL 95-94.
Difference Maker: WR Cordarelle Patterson, BSL - Patterson could light up Atlanta if Bridgewater and Norv feed him the ball. I think they will, get ready for a huge CPATT game.

Super Manning 2-1 AT CLO Collins 2-1 (+9)
All Time H2H Regular Season (1-1)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

***Game of the week alert*** Super Manning got a huge win over the Tots last week and they'll look to add another big time win over CLO Collins this week. When asked about the match up this week Phil said "CLO's team is '12-'13 Lakers, big names and nothing to show for it." While CLO has managed a 2-1 start so far, Phil's ominous quote seems like it could easily come to fruition. After losing Peterson, CLO is not the same team and it doesn't help matters that Charles has been hobbled and ineffective. Super Manning has dealt with their own running back problems and is dealing with both Manning and DT on a bye. This is a tough one and may come down to what Charles and Ridley are able to do for CLO Monday Night. It's hard to pick CLO after last week's performance and Gore seems to be losing his role with the 49ers, I'll take Super Manning 98-89.
Difference Maker: QB Colin Kaepernick, Super Manning - Can Kap against Philadelphia give Super Manning a top QB score like they're used to? After watching Philly give up 400 yards passing to Cousins, I think Kaepernick has a shot at a big day and helping Super Manning to a win.

Week #4 Power Rankings

1. I Don't Get Tired 3-0 Prv. #2 - Last undefeated team, hard to not give them the #1 spot. Have nice mix of stars and role players. If Murray stays healthy and Gronk gets rolling this could be their year.

2. Red Rockets 2-1 Prv. #1 - Even after getting upset and Foster dealing with a hammy this team has too much depth to not be considered a top team. Add to that a budding star at running back in Bell,  a suspended star due back late in the year, and CLO's team declining and you should have your AFL winner right here.

3. Miami Sharks 2-1 Prv. #4 - Not prepared to go away in the NFL Division race any time soon. The Sharks boast a solid team with a super star half back and a pair of super star receivers surrounded by nice role players and potential late season break out talent (Feed the Crow).

4. Scott's Tots 1-2 Prv. #3 - Even after falling to Super Manning, it's hard to knock them down any lower than this. Julio/Nelson receiver combo is the best in the league and if Forte/Lacy can wake up this is a team that could easily challenge for the top spot.

5. CLO Collins 2-1 Prv. #5 - Everyone knew CLO was going through a lot with his roster, but not even the most pessimistic people would've called the upset and record low points he put up. Needs to rebound this week and for Charles to show some flashes or he could fall to being just a middle of the pack squad.

6. Super Manning 2-1 Prv. #6 - Huge win against the Tots, but need to see them do it again vs CLO to move into the top 5. They are doing a good job at patching up any holes on the roster but staying in front of Scott's Tots all year is going to be tough.

7.  Port City Goonsquad 1-2 Prv. #8 - The Goonsquad saved their season last Sunday and remain a sleeper pick of mine. Luck has been on fire and may keep that #1 fantasy QB spot for oh I don't know...the next decade?

8. Carolina Lions 1-2 Prv. #9 - Just like Goonsquad, they may have save their season last week. Lynch and Stacy should be a good enough 1-2 punch to keep this team competitive and slightly in the mix.

9. BSL 1-2 Prv. #7 - Suffering the division loss to Carolina Lions was far from ideal but this team still has big time potential. 2015 looks like it'll be the year though.

10. Purists 2-1 Prv. #12 - Huge upset win over CLO and with Martin back (if he can return to form) they look like the best of this years' bottom teams.

11. Dynasty Kings 1-2 Prv. #11 - Having Gio Bernard is what keeps this team out of last place. They've done a good job so far of showing up every Sunday as they kill time waiting for the 2015 draft to get here.

12. Machine Marshall 0-3 Prv. #10 - Boles, your my boy and a heck of a water wiffle ball player, but...I could see this team sitting at 0-13 matching up against the Dynasty Kings in week 14 with the shot at finishing 0-14. 0-14 could happen this year guys, I hope it doesn't, but it could.

Week 2 Recap/Week 3 Preview/Power Rankings

Week 2 Recap: Top 5 Story Lines

1. Kory Adams took the lead in the NFL Division with their win over the Sharks, thanks to a little guy named Sproles. Kory currently boasts the top 2 scoring running backs in the league (Murray and Sproles) and has this division shaping up to be a dogfight between himself and the Sharks.

2. Fall of an empire? CLO Collins once all star squad has now lost Peterson due to legal issues and Charles to a high ankle sprain leaving him with Gore and TRich as his new backfield duo. The once heavy title favorite now looks like a clear 2nd in the AFL Division to the Red Rockets.

3. The 2012 Scott's Tots now have a friend with 2014 Ohh Kill'Em joining them this past week for lowest score in a game of all time (45). If it wasn't for Marshall's unreal 3 TD game, Ohh Kill'Em could've set a new record low in the 30's. The 0-2 OK coming off the worst game in franchise history have decided to go all in trading future picks (including what could be Todd Gurley) for Joique, D.Brown, and Decker to try to turn things around and make a push. It may or may not work but it should at least keep them from scoring 45 or lower again.

4. UFL Division looks wide open with Tots, BSL, and Super Manning all looking like solid competitors for the Division and you can never count out that Lions magic.

5. Red Rockets looking STRONG. 230 points through two weeks and now add another halfback option, Knile Davis to the mix. Gonna be tough to beat.

Week 3 Match Up Preview

Machine Marshall 0-2 AT Miami Sharks 1-1 (-14)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1-1 Sharks)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

This is about as close as you can get to a must win game this early in the year. Machine Marshall can't afford to slip to 0-3 or their season is pretty much done and trading away their 2015 1st will start to look like a terrible move. The Sharks on the other hand don't want to risk falling behind Kory Adams by 2 games this early, not to mention they really need this game and the DK game so they can be 3-1 when they get their hardest part of their schedule (CLO, Rockets, Tots). Enough about how badly these two teams need this game, who is going to win it? The Sharks have the superior team without question, however Machine Marshall has some nice match ups this week especially if Decker can play which could make this game interesting. It looks like yet another Shark week that will come down to Monday Night but I think the Sharks take this one, 107-93.
Difference Maker: HB LeSean McCoy, Miami Sharks - The best player on either of these two teams needs to show up and the Sharks should be fine.

Goonsquad 0-2 AT Red Rockets 2-0 (+2)
All Time H2H Regular Season (4-1 Rockets)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

Goonsquad picked a bad time to be needing a win as they go to battle with the 2-0 Red Rockets. If GS loses this game you have to think some big time changes have to be on the horizon and older players like Roddy White, Fred Jackson, and maybe even CJ Spiller will be available on the market. However if they can pull off the unthinkable and defeat the Rockets they will be sitting at 1-2 after their toughest stretch of the season with a quick path back to relevance coming up (Lions, DK, Purists). If Tick can get this win, then a season turn around and 4-2 record could be possible. The only problem is, it's going to be TOUGH to get that win. The Rockets are without a doubt right now the best team in the league with their only weakness being the quarterback position. However that's the major thing Tick has going for him and with his Luck-Hilton-Allen combo going against Jax, they have a shot at this. Heck give me the Goonsquad with a HUGE upset 104-102.
Difference Maker: TE Julius Thomas/HB Montee Ball, Red Rockets - If the Seahawks can hold JT and Ball in check then all of a sudden GS has a real chance at securing a W.

BSL 1-1 AT Carolina Lions 0-2
All Time H2H Regular Season (3-1 Lions)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

Might as well call this must win Sunday with all the must wins going on. Bottom line if the Lions win this game they can pretty much more or less say they are back in the mix for the UFL Division, if they lose it and drop to 0-3 well it may be time to finally fully rebuild after 2 title game appearances. This is not a must win for BSL but it could go a long way in determining whether they can win this UFL division or not. The one big thing going in the Lions favor is Stacy getting matched up against Dallas and obviously Romo matching up with the Rams. Add into that, Ridley gets Oakland and all of a sudden BSL may be the better team (especially from a dynasty perspective), but it could be all Lions this Sunday. Give me the Lions 92-81.
Difference Maker: HB Zac Stacy, Carolina Lions - Has a chance for a big time performance against Dallas and if he has that and Lynch does normal Lynch things then the Lions should be collecting a W.

Scott's Tots 1-1 AT Super Manning 1-1 (+5)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1-1 Tots)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

This is your game of the week right here. Two big time UFL division title competitors squaring off with a chance to be tied or all alone in first place after this match up. This is another place the Seattle-Denver match up will play a huge role on who comes out victorious. Can Peyton and DT get some things going this time around against Seattle? (Secret is DT actually had a monster fantasy game in that Super Bowl). The one big thing that is keeping me from going with Super Manning is they are starting two back up halfbacks. While they are very talented and both could score they just don't match up well against Forte and Lacy. I'll take the Tots in a hard fought battle 98-93.
Difference Maker: HB Eddie Lacy, Scott's Tots - If Lacy gets back on track then the Tots should win this game, if he doesn't well...

I Don't Get Tired 2-0 AT Dynasty Kings 1-1 (+19)
All Time H2H Regular Season (2-1-1 Kings)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

I don't get tired (aka Kory Adams) is coming off a big time win against the Sharks and is now (while it is really early) officially in the drivers seat for the NFL Division. Of all the things going right for Kory (two top backs, healthy Gronk) they have been dealt a major blow for the next few weeks with AJG sidelined making them quite vulnerable. Fortunately for them they are battling DK, Machine Marshall, and Purists over the next three weeks. If they can get through these next three weeks unscathed and off to a 5-0 start, Kory's first playoff trip will start seeming like a very real possibility. Dynasty Kings on the other hand has done a nice job of putting together a solid team during their rebuild yet again. The only problem is, it's probably not solid enough to win this one. IDGT 101-82.
Difference Maker: QB Drew Brees, IDGT - Brees should have a big enough day in the home opener to provide plenty of cushion against DK.

Purists 1-1 AT CLO Collins 2-0 (-28)
All Time H2H Regular Season (3-1 Purists)
All Time H2H Post Season (0-0)

If there was ever a time to play against CLO Collins that time is now. No Charles and no Peterson make this once juggernaut just a pretty good team. CLO still features Rodgers/Megatron/Jimmy but his backs don't scare anyone currently. The Purists, while being very competitive so far, shouldn't be much of a match up in this one as their young line up still tries to find its way. I've got CLO's rough week finishing with a W 99-71.
Difference Maker: WR Calvin Johnson - Probably has decent odds on outscoring all three of the Purists receivers.

Week #3 Power Rankings

1. Red Rockets 2-0 Prv. #2 - The Red Rockets are currently without question the #1 team in the Ultimate Dynasty League. Their impressive depth reminds me a lot of the '13 Tots, who managed to secure last year's #1 seed.

2. IDon'tGetTired 2-0 Prv. #5 - While Sproles should come back down to earth, Brees/Murray/Gronk and when he's back healthy AJG is one heck of a team. This looks like Kory's best chance yet to finally punch a playoff ticket.

3. Scott's Tots 1-1 Prv. #4 - If Lacy and Forte get back on track this team will be very hard to beat. Julio/Nelson are arguably the best receiving duo in Ultimate.

4. Miami Sharks 1-1 Prv. #3 - Never fun to drop a game to your biggest rival for the division, but the Sharks should be able to rebound. McCoy/Dez/Alshon with very good role players and depth should be enough to keep them in the fight for the NFL division and/or the Wildcard spot.

5. CLO Collins 2-0 Prv. #1 - Possibly a bit reactionary but this team without Peterson is not the same team. Add in Charles struggling through injuries and Cruz looking lost and the once heavy favorite is now just in the mix of contenders. However a team with Rodgers/Mega/Jimmy and hopefully a healthy Charles down the road is still good enough to get it done.

6. Super Manning 1-1 Prv. #7 - Coming off a big win against BSL they'll look to get an even bigger one against Tots. Manning-DT combo keeps this team afloat but it's going to be tough to break into the postseason mix unless one of his backs emerge as more than just a filler HB2-3.

7. BSL 1-1 Prv. #6 - Still a big time believer in this team (especially for the future), but the question is can they hold on and stay in the mix while they wait for a few breaks and break outs to take place.

8. Goonsquad 0-2 Prv. #8 - If they can pull off upset against Red Rockets, they can turn their whole season around and be sitting at 4-2 come week 7. A good amount of talent here everything is just not coming together.

9. Carolina Lions 0-2 Prv. #10 - Luke's halfbacks are starting to turn around which has been the key ingredient to his past two title appearances. Team is good enough to luck up and be in contention for the UFL but need to start posting some W's starting this week.

10. Machine Marshall 0-2 Prv. #9 - Was close to getting dropped down to the #12 spot after last week. However after making a few trades the team looks decently competitive...kind of. All I know is it's going to be a heck of a rebuild job coming up so hopefully the Cutler-Marshall combo can turn this team around.

11. Dynasty Kings 1-1 Prv. #12 - Showed they are capable of competing and have some nice pieces for the future (Gio and Hopkins). Will be interesting to see how many wins this team can compile in their 2nd rebuilding season.

12. Purists 1-1 Prv. #11 - This young team is growing, but Anthony is doing a heck of a job keeping them somewhat competitive in these match ups. Beating CLO this week would be a huge morale booster and shoot them up a few slots.
