Goonsquad Acquires Franchise Back

The Portcity Goonsquad have built a pretty nice young squad featuring Luck, Wallace, and Hilton but what they were missing was a quality starting runningback. Well you can check that off as yesterday the Goonsquad acquired a no doubt top 5 dynasty back in the Houston Texans' Arian Foster. The addition of Foster speeds up this rebuilding process and with another savvy move or two could have the Goonsquad in position to actually compete for the AFL division.

As for the Miami Sharks they have definitely sent shock waves throughout the league trading off two of their super stars two days after winning the league.

Sharks Receive: QB Colin Kaepernick, WR Josh Gordon, 1.01, 1.07, CLO's 2014 1st

Goonsquad Receives: HB Arian Foster, 2014 2nd

Sharks Ship Green to CLO Collins

Two days after winning Ultimate Dynasty Bowl I the Miami Sharks have already made a major move sending their WR1 and fan favorite AJ Green to CLO Collins. The Sharks felt with the emergence of Dez Bryant they could make this move and begin to work on building up their depth. As for CLO Collins he now has unquestionably the best receiving core in the league with Mega and AJG two superstars he hopes will have him right back in the thick of things come 2013.

Sharks Receive: WR Kenny Britt, HB Stevan Ridley, 1.04, 1.09

CLO Collins Receives: WR AJ Green

Halfway Through

Well we've reached the halfway point in the inaugural season of The Ultimate Dynasty League and while some teams have met expectations (Sharks) other teams have surprised (Dynasty Kings) and others have failed to live up to their preseason hype (CLO Collins).

NFL

1. Miami Sharks (5-1-1) - Solid start for the Sharks as they boast the league's best record along with its best runningback (Foster) and best receiver (AJG). This team has arguably the best line up with everyone healthy and not on byes but the Achilles heel for this team is depth. If they can go into the playoffs with a fully healthy line up they're gonna be hard to beat.

2. Dynasty Kings (5-2) - Was building for the future until he kept winning and winning but now sitting at 5-2 the Kings made a monster move bringing in McCoy which gives him a pair of franchise backs to operate with between him and Spiller. The Kings are a solid team, the receivers are a little weak but no team has more boom potential than this one as they showed in week 6 posting 155 points in their match up with John Gallimore. They play in the strongest division but have as good a chance as anyone to be punching a ticket to the dance.

3. Kory Adams (5-2) - Brees, Peterson, and VJAX are putting this team on their collective backs doe. Kory is clearly in the race for not only a playoff spot but the #1 seed overall. I would go as far as to say the best three teams in the league reside in the NFL division and it's going to be a dog fight to see which 1 of the 3 is left out in the cold come playoff time.

4. Matt Boles (3-3-1) - How good is the NFL division? Only 3 teams outside of the NFL have scored 600+ points, all four teams in the NFL have scored 600+. Boles has impressed and fielded a very solid team and with Chris Johnson showing signs of life he can only get better. Unfortunately in this division that's not going to be good enough, it would be considered a success for Boles to make it out of the basement of this division.

UFL

1. Eagle Eggs and Lions Sperm (4-3) - No one in the UFL has really stepped up and separated themselves but Luke Zente has emerged enough to be leading after 7 weeks. This team is built in a weird way with many older on their last leg players surrounding a super star rookie QB but the formula may be good enough for Luke to punch a ticket to the dance and that's all you can really ask.

2. Scott's Tots (3-4) - It may just be because I've known Tray in the fantasy community for a while but he's who I think will eventually take this UFL division and is even a sleeper candidate of mine to walk away with the title. Ray Rice and Matt Forte are as solid of two backs as you could ask for combined with a nice receiving combo in Cruz and Colston. If I was a betting man, and I am, I'd say take Tots to win the UFL Division.

3. Beat Skeet Eat Leave (3-4) - Andrew's surprising run may have come to a screeching halt courtesy of the MJD injury. The bright spot is Morris unlike most Shannahan backs looks like he may have some staying power. Other than that it may be time to look to move Reggie Wayne for picks after his resurgent season has restored a good chunk of his value.

4. Super Manning (2-5) - McFadden has been the culprit in this rough start failing to come close to meet preseason expectations while Steve Smith hasn't helped either currently the 40th best receiver in fantasy. This team does have some potential for a strong second half but if the wins don't come soon it may be time to start entering the trade market.

AFL

1. Red Rockets (5-2) - The Rockets may need to go ahead and start selling playoff tickets because as weak as this division is they've basically already clinched. Julio and Mathews aren't performing up to expectations but John has the luxury of not needing wins too badly right now so he can wait them out and just hope they start going around playoff time. Ahmad Bradshaw's health could play a big role on just how good this team's chances will be come playoff time.

2. CLO Collins (3-4) - One of the preseason favorites to make it to the Ultimate Dynasty Bowl has failed to pan out. Stafford and Megatron's disappointing season have had this team struggling mightily. Now that he's sold off his star runningback LeSean McCoy you can tell this team has their eye on the future.

3. Bi Polar Bears (2-4-1) - Set up solid for the future but this year they aren't ready to quite make the jump especially with a slumping Cam. The Doug Martin-David Wilson backfield of the future shows a lot of promise as well as the widereceiver duo of Marshall-Harvin should be solid. Scary team for the future.

4. Tick (0-6-1) - Tick's season starts in April but it would behoove him to win one game in the regular season to avoid having an inaugural winless season. Outside of Luck, Wallace, and Gordon there's not much else on this roster at the moment but he'll change that come draft day.

POWER RANKINGS WEEK 2

1. Red Rockets 1-0 (John Gallimore) Prvs. #3 - Big 1st week with the Ryan/Julio combo he coveted so badly. Still waiting on Mathews to get back to have a stud halfback and could use another stud halfback but he definitely made his claim for the top spot week 1.

2. Miami Sharks 1-0 (Michael Gibson) Prvs. #2 - Could have been in the 90's in scoring this week if not for the Bills D posting a -8 and rolling with the young Wilson over Romo. Still have a lot of faith in this team with the trio of stud backs and pair of stud receivers and getting the win over a strong CLO team in week 1 is all you can ask for at the end of the day.

3. Super Manning 1-0 (Phillip Bullock) Prvs. #5 - If Peyton Manning is the Peyton of old this team has the potential to be very special. Peyton, McFadden, Lynch, Andre3000, Demaryius, and Smitty leading the way should have the Super Mannings as UFL favorites.

4. Kory Adams 1-0 (Kory Adams) Prvs. #8 - Wow was I wrong about Adrian Peterson. If AP is going to play like a top 10 back on this team with Brees and Gronk then Kory is going to be a very strong competitor.
5. CLO Collins 0-1 (Caleb Collins) Prvs. #1 - A lot of question marks surrounding this previously #1 ranked team. At first glance it looks as though Richardson is going to have a rough rookie season while CLO still lacks any semblance of a flex play. While still a very good team especially once Britt gets back they are not the slam dunk pick they were made out to be. Blame Weeden.

6. Dynasty Kings 1-0 (Dylan Gibson) Prvs. #10 - Still don't think they are legit contender but Spiller will be a top 10 back while FJAX is out which should have this team on a roll. Have an excellent chance at being 2-0 by this time next week as they draw the Goonsquad. If RG3 can be a top 10 qb the whole season this team could surprise.

7. Scott's Tots 0-1 (Taylor Ray) Prvs. #6 - Rice and Forte proved to be a sick runningback duo as we all thought they would but the QB play and WR play is going to have to step up for this team to have a shot at making the playoffs this year.

8. Rodger's Neighborhood 0-1 (Luke Zente) Prvs. #9 - Came up 1 point short in week 1 but this elderly team should be able to be competitive as long as Rodgers doesn't suffer a drop off and the rest of his team continues to find the fountain of youth.

9. Matt Boles 0-1 (Matt Boles) Prvs. #4 - Starting to really worry about this team outside of Tom Brady. CJ?K and Welker are off to very slow starts and one may be close to done while the other may be getting phased out of the game plan. It may be time for Boles to make some changes already.

10. Bi-Polar Bears 0-1 (Anthony Hatfield) Prvs. #7 - This team is young and may be a year away from being extremely competitive. If Cam gets it together though with that Marshall combo this team could explode up the rankings. Regardless very good team for the future.

11. Beat Skeet Eat Leave 1-0 (Andrew Hatfield) Prvs. #11 - Big time win in the first week. I still don't think this team is going to compete this year but if Andrew keeps pulling plays like that Pierre Garcon start out then he could climb out of this 11 spot soon.

12. Tick 0-1 (Matt Kinker) Prvs. #12 - Insert generic comment about being terrible but having hope for the future.

GAME PICKS FOR WEEK 1

#2 SHARKS (0-0) AT #1 CLO COLLINS (0-0)

In what could be a title preview the #1 and #2 ranked teams via the power rankings face off to open up their season. If it wasn't for the injury/suspension bug hitting CLO this would be the game of the week but with those factors forcing CLO to sport a line up that involves Sidney Rice starting he's going to have a tough time keeping pace with the Sharks this week. Stafford does draw St. Louis for his opening match up which could yield potentially huge results but I'll take the Sharks by 15-20 points.

#3 Red Rockets (0-0) AT #6 Scott's Tots (0-0)

This has the potential to be your game of the week. The Red Rockets and Rayz are not only pretty evenly matched, they are also built in the same format. John's Packer receivers do unfortunately play against the 49ers which could keep them slightly in check. Forte should have a field day against Indianapolis while Rivers should actually have a nice day going against Oaklands porous pass D. I'm taking Scott's Tots by 1-3 points in a crazy game that won't come to a conclusion until the end of the 2nd monday nighter.

#9 Rodger's Neighborhood (0-0) AT #8 Kory Adams (0-0)

Rodgers VS Brees should provide an interesting story line for this match up however I don't know how interesting this game will really be. Kory is in some trouble this week with the Peterson situation and having Amendola in your line up which is just trouble because his lack of skills. I like Brees match up better than Rodgers but I'm going with Rodger's Neighborhood by at least 10.

#11 Beat Skeet Eat Leave (0-0) AT #4 Matt Boles (0-0)

With MJD relegated to 3rd down dutie Andrew doesn't have much of a shot this week against Boles. If Vick played unbelievably and Boles team had career lows it'd still be tough. I'm going Boles by at least 35

#7 Anthony Hatfield (0-0) AT #10 Dynasty Kings (0-0)

This has the potential to be another great game. Graham VS Hernandez should be a fun battle to watch as should Cam VS RG3 and Megatron VS Marshall. I'm taking the Kings in an epic game by 1.

#5 Super Manning (0-0) AT #12 Tick (0-0)

This game is going to be a laugher that's all I can say. Super Manning by 70+

POWER RANKINGS (Pre-Week 1)

1. CLO Collins (Caleb Collins) Prvs.#7 0-0 - Young Elite QB...check, two young workhorse potentially Elite backs...check, a pair of highly talented soon to be elite receivers...check, two competent flex plays (1 WR and 1 HB)...check, jerseys for every player in the league...almost. Sounds like the #1 team to me. CLO may struggle the first week due to injuries, suspensions, and a tough match up but once his team gets going this is going to be a heck of a team and it's gonna be here for a while.

2. Miami Sharks (Michael Gibson) Prvs.#10 0-0 - A team built in a very similar mold to CLO's franchise but with a better younger flex option but a more questionable QB position. While I'm actually president of the Russell Wilson fan club, he's not the sure thing Stafford is. The rest of this team is stacked though Foster, Murray, A.Brown, AJG, and Dez should be able to have this team at the top of the heap. Also me and my girl broke so I should have some good karma coming my way which could lead to a special season.

3. Red Rockets (John Gallimore) Prvs.#4 0-0 - John's still been talking trades and mess even stating "I play fantasy for the trades". Well the bad news for John is I don't think anyone wants to trade with him(at least at this time) but the good news is his team is ready to make a run. McCoy, Charles, three top 15 or so receivers should be enough to have them still playing come week 15.

4. Matt Boles (Matt Boles) Prvs.#8 0-0 - Made an all in move sending promising rookie Doug Martin and a 1st round pick to land CJ?K but it may pay off. Tom Brady is the guy that is going to win weeks for Boles and the rest of the line up aren't exactly scrubs. Boles with his limited fantasy knowledge has somehow built a contender, if I were him I'd make a few more all in trades and just try to grab a title this year and maybe compete next year then start rebuilding once Brady falls off. Plus he needs to get some money fast because he owes Phil and you don't want to owe Phil.

5. Super Manning (Phillip Bullock) Prvs.#9 0-0 - I've changed my tune on this team a bit even though they haven't been making any deals. No I didn't get threatened like the little old lady Phil yelled at. I'm just starting to think the trio of McFadden, Lynch, Andre3000 along with the rest of what Phil has put around them is going to have them in the thick of things all year. Phil's also an outstanding fantasy owner and as anyone that played in the fantasy basketball league with him knows he can get creative about finding ways to make the playoffs.

6. Scott's Tots (Taylor Ray) Prvs.#3 0-0 - While a lot of teams have been making trades to improve, Scott's Tots have for the most part (other than the gift Dylan gave him) been just hanging back. Rice and Forte will have this team in the mix but unless Cruz plays out of his mind like last year then I don't think this team is top tier. I'm sure Tray will manage this team to be very competitive though.

7. Anthony Hatfield (Anthony Hatfield) Prvs.#5 0-0 - Future Presidential candidate Anthony Hatfield made some pretty nice future trades that have him slightly stepping back for 2012 but his future prospects have increased immensely. Cam could be enough to get this young team in the playoff picture but I think they are a year or two away from being great.

8. Kory Adams (Kory Adams) Prvs.#2 0-0 - Kory may react to this drop the same way he reacted to the Bacardi 151 he chugged back in the day. This drop is not without good reasoning though with an already questionable runningback core there has been news that Hernandez may be used more this year than Gronk. Also trading Lloyd one of my favorite sleeper receivers for 2012 didn't help his ranking. Brees is going to have to lead this team the same way he leads that voodoo team of satanists in New Orleans.

9. Rodger's Neighborhood (Luke Zente) Prvs.#6 0-0 - Other teams have improved but Luke still has Rodgers which could have him finishing a lot higher than this. If he could just turn some of those average players into another superstar to help Rodgers out he'd look a lot better. I wouldn't recommend asking the guy who replaced you in the apartment for advice, ole Alby still thinks Vick is fighting dogs and playing with the Falcons.

10. Dynasty Kings (Dylan Gibson) Prvs.#1 0-0 - Wow, the Kings would have been better off spending their time going door to door selling chocolate to get new uniforms for his fantasy team rather than working out the deals he did for his team. I'm not sure what's going on with this team rebuilding or competing or what but hey nice grabs in flag football though.

11. Andrew Hatfield (Andrew Hatfield) Prvs.#10 0-0 - Stuck trying to rebuild a franchise and city still clearly devastated by Hurricane Austen in May. At least MJD has reported back and Vick is healthy so who knows things could be worse...maybe.

12. Tick (Matt Kinker) Prvs.#12 0-0 - Don't look for Tick to move from this spot this year. This team definitely has a bright future with more picks than oranges I have in my apartment (a lot). My question is just why is Fred Jackson a 31 year old back on this team I would flip him for an HD Box and a future draft choice to Directv.
