Training Camp Power Rankings

It seems like every time I tell you guys I'm going to do power rankings and I get started on them, someone thinks it's funny to make a blockbuster trade. That's why I'm releasing power rankings today all together without telling anyone.

THE FAVORITES

1A. Miami Sharks - When you have Rodgers and Graham as your bookends with studs like Charles, AJG, and Julio in between, then your name will get thrown around a lot in Ultimate Dynasty Bowl II talks.

1B. CLO Collins - TRich/McCoy combined with the trio of Megatron/Dez/Cruz with a QB rotation of Staff/Kaep and one last run from elite tight end Tony Gonzalez. Yep this is the tier of the super teams.

3. BiPolar Bears - This team has ridiculous upside there's a chance that everyone in his starting line up could be top 5 at their positions. However this upside also coincides with the fact his team is not as proven as the other teams in this tier. Anthony's 2013 title hopes rely heavily on Wilson and Miller living up to the hype.

4. Beat Skeet Leave - Making a blockbuster deal for Spiller catapulted this team from the back end of the contender tier all the way into the favorites tier. Spiller/Morris/MJD have the potential to be as good as any runningback stable in the league depending on MJD's health and with the rest of the roster pretty sharp as well that should be good enough to have BSL in the championship discussion.

CONTENDERS (If they catch a break)

5. Kory Adams - Brees/Peterson/Gronk is arguably the best big three in the league and I could definitely see this team being a big time contender this year. The Gronk injuries though and the rest of the roster being a little lackluster has this team slotted in this tier but they are no doubt a break away from being in the title discussion.

6. Super Manning - A stud QB and three arguably WR1's has this team a break away as well from having championship aspirations. McFadden and Mathews are big time question marks but if one of them comes through then Super Manning should be neck and neck with BSL for the division crown.

7. Carolina Lions - This team is built around two stud backs Foster and Rice, not a bad way to build a playoff team. If the Lions receivers come to play and the backs stay healthy they have a solid chance at punching a ticket to the dance.

Hail Mary's (Would need multiple breaks to jump in the mix)

8. Port City Goonsquad - One thing holding back Goonsquad is the division they play in, it's going to be hard to finish in front of CLO or BiPolar Bears, but a trio of Luck, Lynch, and Ridley is a huge upgrade from last year. With a couple of breaks it wouldn't be crazy to see Goonsquad breakthrough and be a sleeper for the playoffs but as for now they remain multiple breaks away.

9. Scott's Tots - This team is solid at every position but lacks a big time stud, unless RG3 returns to full health and Murray breaks out, it looks like this team is doomed to finish middle of the pack and perhaps another last place finish in the UFL division.

10. Matt Boles - This is probably his last shot before this team is past its prime, Brady, CJ1K, Reggie, Shorts, Nicks, Welker is still a solid team and with good management and, as is the theme with this group, multiple breaks they could enter into the playoff conversation. Most likely they will finish just good enough to keep themselves out of the top part of the draft.

Lottery Bound (Need a miracle of epic proportions to compete)

11. Red Rockets - The good news is the players on this team are for the most part very young and many of them have upside, the bad news is I don't think this team can come close to holding a candle to any of the contending teams yet, and the even worse news is they do not own their draft pick for 2014 so if it is a bad season it's all for nothing. A (Bernard, Ivory, Lacy, Austin, Smith) core definitely has some future potential though.

On The Clock (Time to start looking at 2014 prospects)

12. Dynasty Kings - What the Kings are doing is obvious which is why it is no surprise to see them down here in their own tier. However having eleven 1st's in the next two (reportedly stacked) draft classes along with a solid young nucleus of wide outs (Hopkins, Randle, Floyd, Jeffrey) signifies a bright future ahead for the Kings. When all the top teams are falling off in a couple of years this team should be rising fast and has potential to be in a class all its own.
